We Just Hit 100+ Developer Tools
When we launched AIDToolStack in January, we had 15 developer tools. Today, we crossed the 100-tool milestone. Here is how we got here and what we learned.
The Growth Strategy
We prioritized tools based on three criteria: search volume (what developers are actually looking for), gap analysis (what existing tool sites lack), and composability (can this tool chain with others). This data-driven approach meant we built tools people actually need instead of guessing.
Quality Over Quantity
Every tool meets our quality bar: it works entirely in the browser with no server calls, supports keyboard shortcuts for power users, handles edge cases gracefully, and includes documentation with examples. We rejected the temptation to ship half-finished tools just to bump the count.
Community Contributions
About 20% of our tools came from community contributions. Developers submitted tools they had built for personal use, and we helped polish them into production-quality utilities with consistent UI, accessibility, and error handling. The open-source model works — people build tools they need and share them with everyone.
What is Next
Our target is 200 tools by end of 2026. The next batch focuses on AI-specific utilities: prompt templating, token counting across models, embedding visualization, and model output comparison. We are also adding batch processing mode so you can run tools across multiple inputs automatically.
Thank You
To everyone who has used, shared, and contributed to AIDToolStack — thank you. Every bug report, feature request, and pull request makes the platform better. Here is to the next 100.
